Jordan Ferney, creator of the whimsical DIY, shows how to make this simple and budget accessory for your [big day](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheersy). Simply collect some long glass test tubes and some lightweight colored tissue paper. All you have to do is fold over the paper and cut into the desired size/number of squares, pop them in the test tube and they're ready to hand out to your guests. I adore the [bright neon colors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hally-hair-1) Jordan has used here but these can be easily adapted for your wedding day if you have a more subdued theme. Perspex or colored plastic paper will also work for your [handmade confetti](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fancy-baking-confetti). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 16% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Romance](https://www.trendhunter.com/romance) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **DIY Confetti:** Opportunity for businesses to develop DIY confetti kits for parties and events. - **Handmade Accessories:** Opportunity for businesses to create handmade accessories for weddings and parties. - **Creative Party Decor:** Opportunity for businesses to provide creative and unique party decor for special occasions. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Event Planning:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to incorporate DIY confetti and handmade accessories into event planning services. - **Craft Supplies:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to offer DIY confetti kits and craft supplies for making handmade accessories. - **Party Supplies:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to design creative party decor and offer unique options for special occasions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Confetti-Filled Wrapping Papers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/confetti-wrapping-paper.md) - [Interactive Celebration Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/confetti-lab.md) - [Curated Wedding Gift Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wedding-gift-boxes.md) - [DIY Celebration Drink Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheers-to-you-cocktail-kit.md) - [Calming Confetti Websites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/confettitherapycom.md) - [Contemporary Confetti Cake Mixes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joyfetti-cake-mix.md) - [Sprinkle Cake Mixes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/funfetti-celebrations-cake-mix.md) - [Celebratory Whole Grain Cereals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/confetti-cheerios.md) - [DIY LED Flower Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floled.md)
