# Dodecahedron Calendars Swop's DIY Calendar is Shaped to Highlight Important Dates By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2015-01-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-calendar References: [packagingoftheworld](http://www.packagingoftheworld.com/2015/01/diy-dodecahedron-swop-calendar.html) & [swop.gr](http://swop.gr/) This DIY calendar by Swop is a clever one that is made from just two paper parts. The project begins flat, with pieces that are used to form the two halves of the dodecahedron shape. While there are tons of paper calendars that you can print and assemble at home, the neatest feature about this one is that it highlights meaningful dates throughout the year. Instead of having everything arranged in neat squares, this calendar features a series of flowing, dynamic lines. Although it's not a typical paper calendar that can be displayed flat on a wall, this would be a novel object to have on your desk. In order to make it easy to locate a particular month, the calendar is segmented by different blocks of color for the 2015 year. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **DIY Calendars:** This trend presents opportunities for innovation in printable designs and customizable features for users. - **Geometric Shapes:** This trend presents opportunities for innovation in creative and visually appealing designs for various products. - **Personalized Reminders:** This trend presents opportunities for innovation in digital and analog products that cater to users' personalized reminders. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Paper Products:** This industry presents opportunities for innovation in unique and creative designs for paper calendars. - **Printing:** This industry presents opportunities for innovation in high-quality, customizable printing for DIY calendars. - **Stationery:** This industry presents opportunities for innovation in personalized and unique stationery products that integrate with digital calendars. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Intertwined Marble-Made Calendars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/noova-calendar.md) - [Flatpack Advent Calendars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vinterfint-advent-calendar.md) - [Coastal Desk Calendars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lighthouse-calendar.md) - [Colorful Poster-Sized Wall Planers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-wall-calendar.md) - [Floating Marble Cosmic Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobius-calendar-clock.md) - [Interactive Building Block Calendars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-2023-daily-builds-calendar.md) - [Interactive Scheduling Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spatial-calendar.md) - [Monochromatic Lunar Event Calendars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2023-naps-lunar-calendar.md) - [Geometric Structural Dynamic Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pentagone-house.md)
