# Extreme Tourism Part II Diving With Crocodiles By Nisara | Published 2007-10-03 | World Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diving-with-crocs References: [spluch.blogspot](http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/swimming-with-killer-crocodiles.html) First it was [swimming with sharks](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/extreme-tourism-swimming-with-sharks)... and now we have diving with crocodiles! If you're a [thrill seeker](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2025-big-sale) and like to check out the [wilder types of tourism](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/not-hot-lists), you have to visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch in Oudtshoom, South Africa. The ranch invites travelers to swim in steel cages surrounded by Zimbakwe, a 14ft long Nile Crocodile, and his slightly smaller female companions, Ma Baker and the somewhat disarmingly named Sweet Sue. These ferocious beasts could be very dangerous if you weren't caged; in the video clip you can see a Nile Crocodile react on his hunger when faced with Wildebeests. Only £20 ($40) for ten minutes, and you could taunt a croc too! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 76% | Activity: 92% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Travel](https://www.trendhunter.com/travel) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Extreme-tourism-with-dangerous-animals:** Creating more opportunities for individuals looking for the ultimate thrill and adrenaline rush, while also promoting animal conservation efforts. - **Caged-animal-interactions:** Offering visitors a chance to safely interact with dangerous animals in a controlled environment. - **Eco-tourism-adventures:** Encouraging conservation-minded individuals to travel to exotic locations and engage in exciting outdoor activities that promote ecological awareness and sustainability. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Travel:** Developing new travel experiences that cater to adventurous tourists seeking unique and exhilarating activities. - **Entertainment:** Creating unique entertainment experiences that provide a sense of danger and excitement through interactions with dangerous animals. - **Conservation:** Combining animal conservation efforts with unique tourism experiences to educate and engage the public on important conservation issues. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Exotic Vacation Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/down-under-endeavors.md) - [Virtual Game Tourism Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cape-town.md) - [Authentic Amazonian Jungle Tours](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jungle-tour.md) - [Luxury Adventure Travel Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-adventure-travel.md) - [Immersive Desert Safari Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desert-safari-dubai.md) - [Unique Destination Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/not-hot-list.md) - [Challenge-Park Adventures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beast-land-theme-park.md) - [Immersive Holographic Zoos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hologram-zoo.md) - [Elusive Heron-Finding Tours](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birding-tour.md)
