These artworks pay tribute to [Disney's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disney-wedding-dresses-1) iconic animated characters that have been evolved to become more lifelike and mature. Using digital photo manipulation techniques, the UK-based artist creates these stunning depictions of some of our favourite Disney princesses from past years. Gothic-Icecream's visually striking portraits resemble high resolution photographs at first glance but are revealed to be complex digital art works upon closer inspection. In addition to Disney's iconic characters, the artist also creates pieces that feature superhero and mythical subjects including The Avengers' Black Widow as well as Princess Zelda from the popular gaming franchise. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 98% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Live Arts](https://www.trendhunter.com/livearts) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Hyper-realistic Digital Art:** The popularity of Gothic-Icecream's Digitized Disney Portraits indicates a trend towards hyper-realistic and digitally-created art, offering opportunities for disruptive innovation in the art industry. - **Mature and Evolved Characters:** The evolution of Disney's iconic characters into more lifelike and mature versions in Gothic-Icecream's art works represents a trend towards reimagining well-known characters in new and creative ways, providing opportunities for disruptive innovation in the entertainment industry. - **Digital Photo Manipulation:** The use of digital photo manipulation techniques by Gothic-Icecream to create her stunning art works highlights a trend towards the increasing use of software and technology in the creative arts, providing opportunities for disruptive innovation in the software industry. ### Where This Applies - **Art:** Gothic-Icecream's Digitized Disney Portraits bring attention to the trend of hyper-realistic digital art, offering opportunities for disruptive innovation in the creation and distribution of art. - **Entertainment:** The evolution of Disney's classic characters into more mature and modern versions in Gothic-Icecream's artworks points to a trend in the entertainment industry towards reimagining well-known characters and stories, providing opportunities for disruptive innovation in content creation and distribution. - **Software:** The use of digital photo manipulation techniques in Gothic-Icecream's art works highlights a trend in the software industry towards the creation of increasingly sophisticated and user-friendly photo editing tools, providing opportunities for disruptive innovation in the development and distribution of software. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dairytale Bridal Tributes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disney-wedding-dresses-1.md) - [Whimsical Character-Inspired Statement Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aldo-x-disney.md) - [Sparkling Detailed Princess Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/american-girl-doll-1.md) - [Fairytale-Inspired Fragrances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-enchanting-collection.md) - [Enchanting Classic-Animation-Inspired Jewelry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/girls-crew.md) - [Princess-Themed Lip Glosses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultra-glossy-lip.md) - [Cinematic Celebration Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disney-sleeping-beauty-aurora-doll.md) - [Villainous Bridal Gowns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allure-bridals-disney-bridal-gowns.md) - [Fantasy Roleplay AI Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dd-character-portraits.md)
