Streaming content at home alone has become quite commonplace and is seeing many users seek out ways to watch together like the 'Disney Plus Party' Chrome extension. The platform works by allowing users to create a room and invite friends or family in to watch content with them for a more collaborative streaming experience. Users can chat with one another to comment on the content and socialize to create a stronger sense of connection when watching movies or shows apart.

The 'Disney Plus Party' Chrome extension also allows users to host public rooms where anyone can join in to help those who might not have someone to watch with a way to make new connections with others.
