Assigning specific characters with corresponding sins, Hill pairs Beauty and the Beast's Belle with vanity while associating The Little Mermaid's Ariel with greed. Other Disney characters featured in the series include Peter Pan's Tinker Bell who's sin is envy along with Snow White who is marked with gluttony. Made up of seven characters, this Disney art series by Christopher Hill will appeal to the studio's die-hard fans and pop culture fans alike. In addition to paying tribute to Disney's famous faces, the artist also depicts [DC Comics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kidrobot-3) icons and anime characters like Sailor moon on his Deviant Art page. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.8/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 97% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Re-imagined Character Art:** Christopher Hill's series inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins shows a potential trend in re-imagining classic characters to create new narratives. - **Disney-inspired Illustrations:** Disney's iconic characters continue to inspire new works of art and merchandise, indicating an ongoing trend for nostalgic and fan-based media. - **Crossover Character Art:** The crossover between DC Comics and anime in Hill's work points to a trend in exploring the intersection between different types of media. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Illustration:** There is an opportunity for illustrators to develop unique art styles that incorporate popular media, such as Disney and DC Comics, into their repertoire. - **Merchandising:** Disney fans continue to be a strong market for merchandise and could be targeted with reimagined character art. - **Animation and Entertainment:** The popularity of Disney and its characters suggests that animated media and entertainment may be an appropriate industry to explore more creative uses of classic characters. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sin-Inspired Artful Plates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sinful-feast.md) - [Villainous Bridal Gowns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allure-bridals-disney-bridal-gowns.md) - [Villain Inspired Fragrance Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disney-villains-2.md) - [Whimsical Character-Inspired Statement Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aldo-x-disney.md) - [Dairytale Bridal Tributes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disney-wedding-dresses-1.md) - [Enchanting Classic-Animation-Inspired Jewelry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/girls-crew.md) - [Villainous Mobile Device Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disney-villains-x-casetify.md) - [Reimagined Beloved Character Comics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marvel-and-disney.md) - [Diverse African Doll Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creativesoul.md)
