# Elaborate Dangling Dish Racks Hang Your Plates to Dry with this Contraption by Robert Audroue By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-10-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dish-rack-by-robert-audroue References: [raudroue](http://www.raudroue.com/index.html) To avoid having to dry your washed dinnerware manually, you'll want to ensure that the wet crockery is open to air circulation. This dish rack by Robert Audroue goes above and beyond -- literally -- to guarantee that your dishes are able to breath. He has designed a [modular system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thermal-serving-dish) of bent wires which can be assembled piece by piece with the help of integrated hooks. The user needs only suspend as many hangers as there are [glasses, bowls and salvers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zero-microgravity), which should fit securely into the standard tongs and backings to protect the items from falling loose. This precarious contraption is quite an effective [storage solution for compact kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-sink-system) with limited countertop space. Dish Rack by Robert Audroue even avoids leaving puddles by allowing your tableware to drip directly into the sink. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 13% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Modular Dish Drying Systems:** Opportunity for modular dish drying systems that maximize air circulation and space efficiency. - **Integrated Hook Solutions:** Opportunity for dish racks with integrated hooks for easy assembly and customizable storage. - **Sink-direct Drip Design:** Opportunity for dish racks that allow tableware to drip directly into the sink, reducing puddles and mess. ### Who This Affects Most - **Kitchenware:** Opportunity for kitchenware manufacturers to develop innovative dish drying solutions. - **Home Organization:** Opportunity for home organization companies to create space-saving and efficient dish rack designs. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate stylish and functional dish drying solutions into compact kitchen spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Flat-Packed Sleek Dish Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aurea.md) - [Removable Plate Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gere-multifunctional-crockery-shelf.md) - [Air-Circulating Laundry Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clothes-drying-rack-concept.md) - [Ceiling-Mounted Laundry Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/goodliving.md) - [Space-Efficient Drying Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spaceefficient-drying.md) - [Countertop Crockery Sanitizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/utensil-disinfection-cabinet.md) - [Spinning Dishwasher Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whirlpool-spinload-rack.md) - [Storage-Equipped Restaurant Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rack-chair.md) - [Food Vendor Plate Sanitizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dish-disinfecting-system.md)
