When staying in a hotel, maybe it’s best to sometimes keep the light off, or perhaps bring your own bed sheets. TripAdvisor.com has once again compiled a list of the [dirtiest hotels in the world](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orkin-integrated-pest-management).

I was surprised to see that Hotel Carter in New York is on the list. I once stayed there for a night and remember arriving at around 3:30 AM and going to sleep without turning the light on. Unless I was too tired to see cockroaches in the room, I found the hotel very convenient for the price I paid. Here are the top 10 dirtiest hotels as per tripadvisor.com.

> 1.Hotel Carter, New York City, U.S.
> 2.Hotel Merryl, Paris, France
> 3.Cromwell Crown, London, England
> 4.Ludwig Hotel, Munich, Germany
> 5.Catalonia Gardens, Salou, Spain
> 6.Centaur Hotel, IGI Airport, New Delhi, India
> 7.[Hotel Nizza](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/island-shangri-la), Rome, Italy
> 8.First Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand
