This speaker is capable of generating a very [narrow beam of sound](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mems-speaker1) much like a laser creates a super-narrow beam of light. This allows you to blast sound directly into your ears from a distance without anyone else hearing it. The speaker is currently the subject of an Indiegogo campaign, and a pledge of $290 will get you a unit once they're ready to go. This directional speaker offers endless possibilities thanks to its ability to focus sound and provide a headphone-like listening experience. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 13% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Directional Sound:** The precise directional speakers offer a unique way to focus sound and create immersive listening experiences. - **Personalized Audio:** The headphone-like listening experience provided by these speakers taps into the growing demand for personalized audio and immersive entertainment. - **Innovative Speaker Design:** The 'A' speaker showcases the potential for disruptive innovation in the speaker industry by combining advanced engineering techniques with sleek design aesthetics. ### Where This Applies - **Audio Technology:** The development of precise directional speakers has the potential to revolutionize the audio technology industry by offering new ways to manipulate and control sound. - **Consumer Electronics:** The headphone-like listening experience provided by these speakers opens up opportunities for innovation in consumer electronics, particularly in the realm of personal audio devices. - **Home Entertainment:** The ability to focus sound with precise directional speakers could disrupt the home entertainment industry by creating more immersive and personalized audio experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Clear-Frame Directional Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/focusound.md) - [Targeted Audio Wave Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zipp-speaker-concept.md) - [Smart Beaming Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/noveto-n1.md) - [Angular Bluetooth Stereo Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bluetooth-stereo-speaker.md) - [Three-Dimensional Home Audio](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-speaker.md) - [Immersive Multi-Room Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multiroom-speaker.md) - [Transparent Loudspeaker Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loudspeaker-system.md) - [Anti-Distraction Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cravt-speaker.md) - [Future-Proof Luxurious Portable Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beosound-a5-portable-speaker.md)
