# Pillar Partitioned Homes Secluded, See-Through Living in the Direction House by TNA By Marissa Liu | Published 2009-12-16 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/direction-house-by-tna References: [spoon-tamago](http://www.spoon-tamago.com/2009/12/14/tna-architects-direction-house/) & [tna-arch](http://tna-arch.com/) The Direction House by TNA Architects is a habitat that exists in the [middle of a forest](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-the-forest) on an [inclined embankment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-cadree-perche). The pillars that hold the Direction House up are extended through the interior of the home and act as room dividers. Though the pillars only partially obscure the goings-on inside the home, the remote location of the Direction House by TNA ensures that your actions will go unnoticed by your neighbors. The pillars also mimic the idyllic, [arboreal surroundings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palette-architecture). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 26% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Secluded Living:** Innovative homes that offer privacy and seclusion in natural surroundings. - **See-through Architecture:** Architectural designs that incorporate transparent elements to create a sense of connection with the environment. - **Pillar Dividers:** Using pillars as room dividers to add a unique aesthetic and functional element to interior design. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architectural Design:** Opportunity to explore innovative designs that prioritize privacy, transparency, and unique interior elements. - **Real Estate:** Potential for creating secluded and see-through properties that appeal to individuals seeking privacy and connection to nature. - **Interior Design:** Advancements in using pillars as room dividers to create visually appealing and functional spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Angled Concrete Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/block-wall-house.md) - [Forest Lantern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iside-home.md) - [Trapezoidal Concrete Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ksa-studen.md) - [Temple-Inspired Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/j-kidman-architecture.md) - [Modular Wooden Holiday Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piil.md) - [Geometric Structural Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/c-house.md) - [Contemporary Nature-Inspired Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebo-house.md) - [Faceted Cedar Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-house-on-a-hill.md) - [Gabled Forest-Side Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frame-house-1.md)
