The [Dining Womb](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holy-carrot) is a structure designed by John Lum, who took the design down to the famous [Burning Man festival](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/communal-barbecue) for it to be used, then set on fire.

Before setting the item ablaze, Lum was sure to get some use out of it. A clown performed inside, and a dining party was had by about twenty guests. The burning part of the project was done as a symbolic gesture for Lum. He states that when first starting out each project was very important from a financial standpoint, but now he is at the point where he has the freedom to build something like this without it being driven by a client. Burning the design represents a moving away from this past.
