What was once a run of the mill staircase of 73 stairs is now a [vibrant mosaic of color](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cosmologyscape) thanks to the collective. This project is a great example how a little effort and imagination can inject life into [dreary urban areas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1) seemingly forgotten by time. Using every color in the rainbow, the group painted each block on each step a different color, which created a unique pattern that carries the eye all the way up the 73 stairs. The visual pathway created by this pattern mimics the path you'd walk up the stairs. "We are a team of inspired, driven & passionate artists/designers, aimed at creating initiatives to make Beirut brighter & more beautiful, through color," states Dihzahyners on their website. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Artistic Staircase Installations:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a business that specializes in turning bland staircases into vibrant works of art, injecting color and creativity into urban areas. - **Urban Revitalization Through Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a platform that connects urban artists with neglected spaces in cities, facilitating the transformation of dreary areas into visually captivating installations. - **Community Engagement Through Public Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Establish an organization that brings together artists, communities, and local governments to collaboratively revitalize urban spaces through public art projects. ### Where This Applies - **Art Installations:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Disrupt the traditional art installation industry by offering unique and vibrant options for transforming various architectural elements, such as staircases. - **Urban Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Innovate the field of urban design by incorporating art and creativity as key components of revitalizing neglected areas within cities. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop tour packages and experiences that showcase vibrant art installations like the painted staircase in Beirut, attracting tourists and enhancing the hospitality industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Gradient Art Installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yellow-25.md) - [Bold Architectural Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flat-iron-house.md) - [Sculptural Townhome Staircases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atelier-pierre-thibault-1.md) - [Leftover Househouse Paint Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-drop.md) - [Community-Inspired Colorful Substations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brent-cross-town.md) - [Concrete Spiral Staircase Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cadenza.md) - [Inflatable Vibrant Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-dancer.md) - [Nature-Inspired Urban Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kriskadecor-1.md) - [Vibrantly Pink Skelter Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stay-playful.md)
