He achieves this by carefully crafting [abstract textures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arnardo-collection) that supply his subjects with a sense of realism. This is done artfully with his use of abstract inclusions, such as out-of-place colors and wavy line work that takes his subjects into another dimension. Although the many details make the digital paintings look like filtered photographs, Anton Korolyov's [blending techniques](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blendbox-revolutionizes-ai-art) add to the whimsicality further by cutting off certain visual expectations. An example of this includes his choice to make a subject's forearm camouflage into what looks to be a tabletop, however positions a floating hand over top of it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Digital Art Creation:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation lies in developing software or platforms that enable the creation of immersive digital art with realistic textures. - **Blending Realism and Abstract:** An opportunity exists to blend realistic and abstract art genres and styles to generate unique digital paintings. - **Whimsical Art:** Tapping into the trend of whimsical digital art could yield profitability for creative platforms, software and artists. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Fine Art:** Fine art industry has an opportunity to adopt digital art creation technology and expand the variety of art mediums to generate additional revenue streams. - **Animation and Gaming:** Animation and gaming industries has the opportunity to enrich art and develop products that incorporate realistic digital painting techniques. - **Design and Advertising:** Brands and advertisers can leverage the trend of digital painting and artistic design to enhance their brand identity and promote their business. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI-Generated Real-World Transformations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-generated-world.md) - [3D-Printed Colorful Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/olivier-van-herpt-1.md) - [Photo Art Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/image-painter.md) - [AI-Powered Painting Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loklik-ipaint.md) - [Digital City-Inspired Art Works](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grand-central-station.md) - [Stylized Portrait Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-to-all.md) - [Colossal AI Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-artwork.md) - [Vibrantly Colorful Dynamic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kayla-rumpp.md) - [Artistic AI Image Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/donny-ai.md)
