Most musical instruments offer limited portability, deterring an artist from creating music whenever inspiration strikes. NOMAD takes on a compact and minimalist size, merging digital and analog forms of media to provide a unique music playing experience virtually anywhere. The app-enabled device takes the form of a guitar, offering a tactile, [pressure-sensitive experience](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roli-airwave), similar to that of playing the real thing. Paired with headphones, the NOMAD can be taken on long commutes, or played during lunch breaks, without distracting those around you. Small enough to throw into a backpack, this digital music device enables the creative soul to express themselves without limitations. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Portable Music Devices:** Opportunity for creating innovative music devices that offer portability and convenience for musicians on the go. - **Digital Analog Fusion:** Potential to explore the merging of digital and analog technologies to create unique music playing experiences. - **Tactile Music Instruments:** Opportunity to develop instruments with tactile, pressure-sensitive interfaces, offering a more immersive playing experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Music Technology:** Companies in the music technology industry can leverage disruptive innovations to create portable and immersive music devices. - **Mobile Technology:** Opportunity for mobile technology companies to develop apps and devices that enhance the music creation experience on the go. - **Wearable Technology:** Potential for wearable tech companies to create compact and portable music devices that can be comfortably worn and used anywhere. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Palm-Sized Music Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artiphon-orba-2.md) - [Tactile Interactive Music Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yamaha.md) - [Smartphone-Based Musical Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artinoise-zefiro.md) - [Portable Music Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-midi-controller.md) - [Music Analysis Compact Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/analist.md) - [Mobile Music Analysis Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/music-analysis-device.md) - [Ultra-Modern MIDI Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/midi-device.md) - [Multifunctional Music Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chorda.md) - [All-in-One Audio Entertainment Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enya-nexg-smart-guitar.md)
