# Analog-Styled Digicams The Digital Film Camera is an iF Concept Design Entry for 2011 By Meghan Young | Published 2011-04-10 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-film References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2011/04/08/digital-camera-with-an-analog-experience/) & [ifdesign.de](http://www.ifdesign.de/) By the looks of the Digital Film camera, it seems like a lot of designers want to relive the analog age. Hot on the heels of another concept -- the [RE-35 Cartridge](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/re-35-cartridge), which allowed you to shoot digital photos on film cameras -- this design allows you to do just the opposite. The Digital Film camera inserts easily into any digital camera to create a more spontaneous, [analog experience](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leica-m11d). It channels the days before LED screens and constant image-deleting before getting that perfect picture. It brings photography back to the moment while also giving it a more artistic edge. Designed by the Hong-ik Student group, the Digital Film camera is an iF concept design entry for 2011. I'm sure that the [nostalgic element](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/video-camera) in this design will definitely win Digital Film some points. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Analog-styled Digicams:** Opportunity for creating retro-style digital cameras that mimic the look and feel of analog photography. ### Where This Applies - **Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to develop digital cameras that appeal to consumers seeking a nostalgic, analog experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nostalgic Digital Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cs8.md) - [Tactile Digital Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camera-1.md) - [Sleek Analog Film Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lomoapparat.md) - [Artistic Photography Instant Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moir-21-instant-film-camera.md) - [Vintage-Inspired Instant Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instax-evo-cinema.md) - [Retro-Futurism Video Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-8-camera-concept.md) - [Minimalist Aluminum Analog Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mnl-mk1-analog-camera.md) - [Child-Friendly Camera Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camera-for-kids.md) - [Adorable Mini Instant Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-digital-toy-camera.md)
