The device is able to accurately read a child's internal temperature using data that is gathered from their ear. The digital ear thermometer works by placing the temperature-recording end right at a child's ear canal and pressing the soft touch scan button. This process will activate the [infrared laser](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thermal-monocular1), which will accurately measure the body's heat and provide an instant result. The high speed device is quick and reliable for [concerned parents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/athome-family-healthcare). It's safe for children of all ages and will provide results in a matter of three seconds. While other thermometers work via the mouth, the DigiThermo uses the ear -- recommended by medical professionals. The thermometer is able to provide temperatures in both Celsius and Fahrenheit and can store up to ten previous temperatures for quick comparisons. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Babies](https://www.trendhunter.com/babies) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Non-invasive Thermometers:** There's a disruptive opportunity to increase the accuracy, convenience, and safety of non-invasive temperature measurement. - **Digital Ear Thermometers:** There's a disruptive opportunity to enhance the functionality and precision of digital ear thermometers for children and infants. - **Multi-functional Thermometers:** There's a disruptive opportunity to combine multiple functions in thermometers, such as measuring heart rate and oxygen levels, to provide better health insights. ### Where This Applies - **Healthcare:** There's a disruptive opportunity to revolutionize healthcare by introducing more innovative medical devices and tools that are more accessible and effective for people. - **Consumer Electronics:** There's a disruptive opportunity to create new and better digital health and wellness products that cater to different needs and preferences, especially for parents with young kids. - **E-commerce:** There's a disruptive opportunity to leverage e-commerce platforms to expand the reach and impact of non-invasive and accurate thermometers, especially in regions with limited access to medical services and resources. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Digital LED Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/therm-c.md) - [Contactless Smartphone Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tempbuddy-smartphone-thermometer.md) - [Non-Contact Smart Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hiitcheck.md) - [Toy-Like Duck-Inspired Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ducky-thermometer.md) - [Smart Pet Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drpetcare-smart-thermometer.md) - [High-Speed Food Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/typhur-instaprobe.md) - [Touchscreen Thermometer Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touchscreen-thermometer-apps.md) - [Non-Invasive Ear Treatment Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/earflo.md) - [Kinetically Powered Smart Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bcool-smart-thermometer.md)
