The artist weaves the photographs she finds in a way so that they no longer portray a slice of the picture but a more diverse look at human observation. By compiling these images to create digital collages, Jones tries to portray how obsessed our culture has become with photography. Focusing on peppy cheerleaders performing stunts and images of lightning, the artist turns these two different subjects into [psychedelic geometric patterned wallpaper](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wallpaper-collection1). "My photography archives and the works I create from them are documents of a banality that have emerged from an over-abundance of common imagery. Led by a desire to create a counter to convention, I am attempting to liberate specific visual clichés by embracing them," says Jones. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Life](https://www.trendhunter.com/life) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Geometric Digital Collages:** The trend of creating mesmerizing digital collages using geometric patterns presents new opportunities for artists and designers to express their creativity and challenge conventional notions of photography. - **Photography Obsession:** The trend of exploring the cultural obsession with photography provides disruptive innovation opportunities for companies to create new products or services that cater to this growing market. - **Reimagined Visual Clichés:** The trend of liberating specific visual clichés by embracing them in artwork opens up disruptive innovation opportunities for artists to challenge conventions and create unique visual experiences for viewers. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Design:** The art and design industry can leverage the trend of geometric digital collages to create innovative artwork, products, or experiences that resonate with a visually-oriented audience. - **Photography and Imaging:** The photography and imaging industry can capitalize on the trend of photography obsession by developing new technologies, tools, or services that cater to the needs and demands of photography enthusiasts. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can embrace the trend of reimagined visual clichés by incorporating geometric patterned collages as unique wallpaper or decorative elements, offering customers unconventional and visually striking design options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Vibrantly Colorful Dynamic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kayla-rumpp.md) - [Juxtaposing Artful Collaborative Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sea-galaxy.md) - [Digital-Themed Glitchy Visual Wallpapers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glitch-wallpaper.md) - [Digital City-Inspired Art Works](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grand-central-station.md) - [Intersecting Dimensional Art Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diorama.md) - [Intricate Fiber Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threadwork-women-redefining-fiber-arts.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [CD-Comprised Towering Art Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stratagems.md) - [Mesmerizing Sculpture Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mesmerizing-sculpture.md)
