# Magnetized Bicycle Storage Accessories The Digirit Pedal Park Keeps Bikes from Falling Over By Michael Hines | Published 2017-03-20 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digirit-pedal-park References: [newatlas](http://newatlas.com/pedal-park-magnetic-pedals/48469/) & [indiegogo](https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/pedal-park-bike-bicycle) Digirit Pedal Park aims to eliminate one of the most annoying parts about locking up a bike. The most annoying thing about locking up a bike is coming back to find it stolen--but the second most annoying thing is returning to your bicycle only to find that it has fallen to the ground. The Digirit Pedal Park has a simple solution to this problem: [pedals with magnets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mag-drive) at the ends. With Digirit Pedal Park, a bike can be stuck to any metal surface. If no metal is present that's fine as "[parking plates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cargomate-bike-rack)" are included as part of the Pedal Park package. These metal plates (which look to have an adhesive backing) can be slapped onto any surface to ensure that a bike stays upright. The Digirit Pedal Park is seeking funding on Indiegogo and is available in either plastic ($30 pledge) or aluminum alloy ($45 pledge). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) > [Transportation](https://www.trendhunter.com/transportation) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Magnetized Bicycle Storage:** The use of magnetized accessories for securing bicycles in storage is a disruptive innovation opportunity in the cycling industry. - **Bike Theft Prevention:** Developing innovative solutions to prevent bicycle theft, such as the Digirit Pedal Park, presents opportunities for disruptive innovation in the security industry. - **Improving Bicycle Storage:** Finding new ways, like the Digirit Pedal Park, to prevent bicycles from falling over during storage creates opportunities for disruptive innovation in the storage solutions industry. ### Who This Affects Most - **Cycling:** The cycling industry can benefit from the development of magnetized accessories like the Digirit Pedal Park to enhance bike storage and security. - **Security:** The security industry has an opportunity to provide innovative solutions for preventing bike theft, such as integrating magnets into bike accessories like the Digirit Pedal Park. - **Storage Solutions:** Innovative products like the Digirit Pedal Park can disrupt the storage solutions industry by providing efficient and secure methods for storing bicycles. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tri-Functional Bicycle Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trifunctional-bicycle-rack.md) - [Adventurous Pedal-Powered Electric Bicycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pedalpowered-electric-bicycle.md) - [Modular Bike Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sonder-x-skarper.md) - [Van-Compatible Bicycle Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vancompatible-bicycle-racks.md) - [Comfortable Cycling Cleat Attachments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cleat-attachment.md) - [Color-Changing Clipless Pedals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clipless-pedals.md) - [Motor-Assisted Bicycle Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motorassisted-bicycle-rack.md) - [Architectural Midcentury Bike Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draken-bicycle-stand.md) - [Dual Bike Repair Lifts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dual-bike-lift.md)
