There's nothing more annoying than sitting down to play an epic game of Monopoly only to find out that you can't find the dice. This is where Dicebot comes in. It's an internet-connected [dice roller](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magic8ball) that can be operated via [Twitter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twitter-3d-gadget). DiceBot will 'roll' your dice when prompted, and responds with a picture of the resulting score. The contraption doesn't require you to roll the dice with your own hands. The DiceBot contraption consists of a casing within which a pair of dice are mounted in a wooden frame, with a camera mounted on top. A dice-spinning system spins the dice, whose number is then captured by the cameras. The Twitter account @IntrideaDiceBot then sends an automatic tweet to the user revealing the numbers. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/games) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Connected Board Game Gadgets:** There is a growing trend of internet-connected gadgets designed to enhance and streamline the playing experience of board games. - **Internet of Things (iot) in Gaming:** The integration of IoT technology in gaming devices like DiceBot opens up opportunities for interactive and immersive gameplay experiences. - **Automated Dice Rolling:** Automated dice rolling mechanisms like DiceBot eliminate the need for physical dice, providing accuracy and convenience for players. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Board Game Industry:** Board game manufacturers and designers can incorporate internet-connected gadgets like DiceBot into their games to attract tech-savvy consumers and enhance gameplay. - **Internet of Things (iot) Industry:** The IoT industry can develop and market more connected gadgets specifically designed for board games, tapping into the growing market of smart gaming devices. - **Gaming Accessories Industry:** Manufacturers of gaming accessories can explore the production of automated dice rolling devices, providing an alternative and innovative gaming accessory for board game enthusiasts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Phygital Baseball Board Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/base-on-board-20.md) - [Mechanical Vintage Dice Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wm-levsha.md) - [Gamified Habit Trackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/habit-dice.md) - [Robot-Powered Board Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/board-game-robot.md) - [Gamified Task Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dice-my-day.md) - [Multiple Dice-Inspired Digital Watches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/d20-digital-watch.md) - [Digitized Board Game Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/board-game-consoles.md) - [Dedicated Social Media Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twitter-3d-gadget.md) - [Rolling Pet Connectivity Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freshrobot-rollbot.md)
