The pieces are inspired by the roll of a dice and are transformed into different configurations each time they are flipped over. Torafu Architects' Dice Furniture collection includes a variety of practical modes like desks, stools and side shelves. Each of the built-in elements is integrated into one piece of furniture that becomes brand new once a child has outgrown it. This furniture collection is an investment that is meant to grow with your child. For example, once a child has outgrown their built-in seat and desk unit, their piece is transformed into a stool for adults or tilted to become a practical storage unit for books and toys. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Modular Furniture:** The trend of modular furniture allows for adaptable and versatile pieces that can be transformed based on changing needs and preferences. - **Longevity in Design:** The trend of designing products that grow with the user, such as the Dice Furniture collection, offers long-lasting value and reduces waste. - **Practical Transformations:** Designing furniture that can be easily flipped or tilted to provide different functions and configurations is a trend that combines functionality and creativity. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The furniture manufacturing industry can explore the production of modular furniture that meets the demand for adaptable and versatile pieces. - **Children's Furniture:** The children's furniture industry can embrace the concept of longevity in design by creating products that can be transformed as children grow. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can leverage practical transformations in furniture design to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of various spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artisanal Interior Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dice-design-system.md) - [Puzzle-Inspired Kids Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palipeli.md) - [Reconfigurable Modular Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gioco.md) - [Play-Friendly Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/my-nook-modular-furniture-system.md) - [Wooden Modular Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deku.md) - [Toy Block-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloc-collection.md) - [Easy-to-Assemble Colorful Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interlockables.md) - [Playful Toy-Like Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frunchroom-furniture-collection.md) - [Puzzle-Style Inclusive Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nook-furniture.md)
