Architect Diébédo Francis Kéré has created a [private spa](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yuspa) topped by a [bamboo ceiling](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wulingshan-eye-stone-spring-spa) -- this has been imagined by creative director Nachson Mimran. It is located in Gstaad, Switzerland, and the residence of the two which worked to bring a connection between Africa and the rest of the world. To do so, the team integrates detailed craftsmanship that focuses on Swiss and African design emblems.

Mimran explained to [Dezeen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/perfect-day-house), "The core concept was to create a dynamic space where African and Swiss design traditions intersect, fostering a dialogue between cultures." Kéré adds, "We used modest materials to create a home that really works as a meeting point between cultures: aesthetically, and practically. We embraced the rich aesthetic traditions of different African cultures through colour, innovative uses of simple materials and by creating a sense of warmth and comfort."
