# Precious Gem-Inspired Lighting Diamonds for Jspr are Beautifully Faceted and Geometric By Meghan Young | Published 2013-05-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diamonds-for-jspr References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/diamonds-by-jspr/) & [jspr.eu](http://www.jspr.eu/collections/diamonds/) As one gazes at the Diamonds for Jspr, a series of [pendent lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-lighting) designed to look like the precious gem, it will be hard not to think of Rihanna's line, "Shine bright like a diamond." This is especially true since the light fixtures do shine brightly thanks to the light bulb in its center. More than that, its wireframe design doesn't diffuse the illumination one bit. Designed by Sylvie Meuffels, the Diamonds for Jspr cross the industrial look with one of elegance and glamor. Crafted out of steel and colored in gold and black, the light fixtures will make a statement in the home, if only due to their size alone. The Diamonds for Jspr are also available in [three geometric shapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-drape-light). They will be available in July of this year. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Gem-inspired Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create lighting fixtures inspired by precious gems to bring elegance and glamor to interior design. - **Industrial Elegance:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine industrial design with elements of elegance to create unique and eye-catching light fixtures. - **Wireframe Illumination:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop lighting fixtures with wireframe designs that enhance the brightness and illumination in a room. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce gem-inspired lighting fixtures to the interior design industry to offer unique and luxurious lighting options. - **Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate industrial and elegant elements into traditional lighting design to create visually stunning and functional fixtures. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Provide customers with a range of geometric shaped lighting fixtures that serve as statement pieces for their homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Jewel-Inspired Chandelier Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pearl-chandelier.md) - [Enchanting Hanging Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hf-series.md) - [Multifaceted Glass Crystal Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystal-light-fixtures.md) - [Mesmerizing Glass Pendants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-dew-pendant.md) - [Dynamic Hand-Blown Glass Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polaris.md) - [Geometric Bar-Like Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/empyrean.md) - [Modular Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystal-links.md) - [Jewelry-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/through-chrome-reflections.md) - [Metaphorically Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bilanciato-pendants.md)
