If the fabulous city of New York wasn’t dazzling enough, the [Diamond Tower](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diamond-adu) designed by Mexican architect Luis Durazo is sure to make it above and beyond spectacular. Inspired by the chemical structure of a Diamond, this 300m high scraper’s exoskeleton will resemble that of the Diamond with intricately placed habitable cells and/or units.

Not only did Durazo clearly have the bedazzling ‘wow’ factor in mind when creating this luxury tower, but also wanted it to be eco-friendly. With 20% of the structure’s [steel lattice](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bdo-unibank-inc) to be used as vertical recreational areas for the city -- such as a museum and art galleries -- the tower will also be powered by [wind turbines and solar energy panels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solar-tower-1).
