# Talking Tables The Di Wu Table Speaks to You By Luisa Amanda Gomes | Published 2010-01-27 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/di-wu-table References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2010/01/26/talkative-table/) The Di Wu Table is a cleverly designed [coffee table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timetables-coffee-tables) made for communication. There is a chalkboard hidden within a [compartment of the table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarker-table), just in case you’re in the mood to scribble in [quick message](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gptea-set). So when you’re having your morning coffee, you can chalk in a message for your housemates before you go. Whether you want to remind them not to forget to pick up your favorite cereal (Trix are just for kids!) or pre-thank them for doing your dishes, the Di Wu Table will convey your message to them. Furthermore, if you’re not techno-savvy, using chalk is also a fairly easily concept—unless you were home-schooled and your teacher thought chalk was evil. If that is the case, it’s not a hard skill to learn. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Interactive Furniture:** Designing furniture pieces that are not only functional but also interactive to cater to consumers looking for unique pieces. - **Smart Furniture:** Developing furniture that incorporates artificial intelligence to offer customized and personalized experiences. - **Multifunctional Furniture:** Creating furniture that serves multiple purposes to optimize space in smaller living areas. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** The Di Wu Table presents an opportunity for furniture manufacturers to design unique and functional pieces that cater to consumers looking for experiential and interactive furniture. - **Technology:** Incorporating technology such as artificial intelligence into furniture design presents an opportunity for technology companies to expand their market and provide innovative solutions to consumers. - **Interior Design:** Designing multifunctional furniture that optimize space in smaller living areas presents an opportunity for interior designers to offer unique solutions to clients with limited space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Board Game Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scrabble-coffee-table.md) - [Dynamic Interaction Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enigmasurface.md) - [Puzzling Removable Tray Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-puzzle-table.md) - [Optically-Designed Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enigma-coffee-tables.md) - [Dynamic Sculptural Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-transformation-table.md) - [Discreet Compartment Modern Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taarof-table.md) - [Geometric Cutout Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designated-table.md) - [Artful Coffee Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertushka.md) - [Spinning Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-spinning-coffee-table.md)
