# Red-Topped Museums The D.Gallery by Point b Design is a Nature-Surrounded Art Wonder By Jennifer Gosnell | Published 2012-08-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dgallery-point-b-design References: [architizer](http://www.architizer.com/en_us/projects/view/d_gallery/41721/) & [pointbdesign](http://pointbdesign.com/project/d-gallery/) The D.Gallery Point b Design is a bold, red museum. Home to modern art designs, the interior of the gallery is fascinating with its [twig-like roof structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunner-museum). Reminiscent of a bird nest, the rooftop hangs above a [multi-level viewing area](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crow-museum-of-asian-art), where the actual art is displayed. With intricately carved wooden accent walls, the structure is a great display of [modern architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-for-architecture) done right. Located in Philadelphia, the gallery is seemingly in the middle of a forest or field, which makes it all the more interesting. Completely out of place with its surroundings, the D.Gallery Point b Design has a bright burst of red for the majority of the building, then features a waved metal overhang and slatted wood base. An interesting way to make a statement, the D.Gallery is definitely a bold build. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modern Architecture:** Opportunity for innovative designs that create unique and visually striking structures. - **Nature-inspired Design:** Potential for incorporating natural elements and organic shapes into architectural projects. - **Bold and Vibrant Structures:** Demand for eye-catching buildings that stand out in their surroundings. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture and Design:** Opportunity to challenge traditional design norms and create iconic structures. - **Art and Museum:** Potential to enhance the visitor experience through unique architectural settings. - **Construction:** Demand for skilled professionals who can bring innovative and visually striking architectural designs to life. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Color-Blocked Contemporary Museums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mkg.md) - [Temple-Inspired Striking Galleries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abin-design-studio.md) - [Pink-Detailed Art Gallery Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superzoom.md) - [Paper-Inspired Artful Museums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/museum-for-papirkunst.md) - [Rustic Cultural Architectural Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gallery-house.md) - [Red Concrete Exhibition Centers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/red-box.md) - [Pavilion-Style Art Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galeria-house.md) - [Architecturally Intricate Museums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-for-architecture.md) - [University Art Landmarks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/princeton-university-art-museum.md)
