In a press release, the direct data was one of the most requested features by users. Once the program is paired to the device, the Dexcom G7 will use its Bluetooth connection to send out personal alerts to the wrist as well as glucose readings. They will be able to obtain the data whilst out on a walk and without their phones. Previously, the Dexcom G7 Apple Watch app had a three-hour delay with the synced data but was still accessible on the watch face screen.
