# Murals of Distraught Nudes Haunting and Desolate Spanish Street Art by David de la Mano By TrendHead | Published 2009-02-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desolate-characters-murals-artworks-by-david-de-la-mano References: [woostercollective](http://www.woostercollective.com/2009/02/seen_in_salamanca_spain.html) & [daviddelam.blogspot](http://daviddelam.blogspot.com/) I love the way art has no boundaries, hence [guerrilla urban art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kriskadecor-1) goes round the globe! I really like these [murals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cushelle) in desolated areas from Spanish street artist David de la Mano. The pieces were spotted in Salamanca, Spain. David de la Mano is an illustrator who draws these interesting characters featured in the gallery above. The mural with the haunting nude figures crawling on the floor looking distraught is amazing. **Implications** - While this Spanish street art may not be the best to put up in mural form on a children's bedroom wall, it would certainly satisfy many adults craving for cool artwork. Any of this art would definitely be one of a kind and a statement piece in any home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Guerrilla Urban Art:** Opportunity to tap into the growing demand for unique and edgy street art in urban environments. - **Desolated Murals:** Potential to create captivating and emotionally-charged art installations in abandoned or neglected areas. - **Haunting Nude Figures:** Chance to explore the use of provocative and unsettling imagery in art to evoke strong emotional responses. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art Galleries:** Opportunity for art galleries to showcase unconventional and thought-provoking urban art installations. - **Home Decor:** Potential market for high-end home decor products featuring striking and unconventional artwork like David de la Mano's murals. - **Art Therapy:** Possibility to utilize unsettling and emotionally-charged art to explore deep psychological themes in therapeutic settings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Statement Wall Covering Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/el-muro.md) - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Neo-Mexican Art Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/para-morelio.md) - [Contemporary Modern Artful Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/art-gallery-house.md) - [Raunchy Anime-Inspired Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manuela-soto-sosa.md) - [Food-Inspired Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dish-pics.md) - [Mexican Heritage Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/racesroots-exhibition.md) - [Mural Design Assistants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/art-by-squares.md) - [Unique Rotating Art Galleries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/numu-boutique-hotel.md)
