The collection, which features furniture, lighting and homeware was displayed by The Bay at The International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York. Using a simple minimalist aesthetic, Wagell expands on his previous series, adding more unusual shapes to his designs which include a rounded lamp that can be carried from a thin black handle and tables with three-pronged propeller like bases. The [subtle pastel color pallet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/furniture-linoleum-collection) adds a dimension of excitement to an otherwise simple design aesthetic. Most of the products' colors compliment each other so they can be used as matching sets in the same home. Wagell expanded on his traditional minimalist aesthetic to create something with a little more flair, for home designers who value simplicity and uniqueness. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 51% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Minimalist Home Products:** Opportunity to create simple and unique designs that appeal to home designers who value simplicity. - **Unusual Shapes in Furniture Design:** Incorporate unconventional shapes into furniture design to add excitement and dimension to minimalist aesthetics. - **Matching Pastel Color Sets:** Develop products with pastel colors that can be used as matching sets in the same home. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Furniture and Decor:** Opportunity to create minimalist furniture and lighting designs that appeal to consumers seeking simplicity and uniqueness in their homes. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity to incorporate unconventional shapes and pastel color palettes in interior design to create interesting and visually appealing spaces. - **Home Accessories:** Opportunity to design and manufacture pastel-colored homeware that can be used as matching sets in home decor. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimal Seasonal Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blu-dot-3.md) - [Minimalist Bedroom Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/john-pawson-x-tekla.md) - [Minimalist Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/john-pawson-and-herman-miller.md) - [Colorful Contemporary Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/runda-tables.md) - [Colorful Dense Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joy-objects-1.md) - [Fluffy Organically-Shaped Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fallwinter-21-minimo.md) - [Dynamic Swedish-Made Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summer-collection.md) - [Modular Beam-Themed Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beam-collection.md) - [Ultra-Cozy Contemporary Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-furniture-collection1.md)
