The Tron-like contraption uses lasers and electromagnetic waves to supercharge the air around the weapon to set off a paralyzing blast towards the intruder. Home owners are able to safely get away from the trespasser, who is temporarily rendered motionless. This magnetic stun gun is also equipped with a [flashlight](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timeli-flashlight) and on-board camera that is connected to an external security company that automatically notifies law officials. The [collapsable handle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lockly-styla) allows homeowners to conceal and tuck the weapon away safely. While this supercharged defense weapon is still just a concept, personal safety is a growing issue for those living alone in the metropolis. Designer Issac Richardson is bringing the possibility of futuristic person protection devices to life. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Personal Safety Gadgets:** The rise of personal safety concerns is driving the demand for innovative gadgets that provide non-lethal defense solutions. - **Smart Security Systems:** The integration of advanced technologies like cameras and external security companies is revolutionizing home security systems. - **Disruptive Defense Technologies:** Innovative weapon designs utilizing lasers and electromagnetic waves present disruptive opportunities in the defense industry. ### Where This Applies - **Home Security:** The concept of Tron-like stun guns highlights the need for advancements in home security products that offer both protection and non-lethal defense capabilities. - **Personal Safety:** The growing concern for personal safety, especially in urban areas, creates opportunities for the development of futuristic personal protection devices. - **Defense Technology:** The concept of magnetic stun guns showcases the potential for disruptive innovation in the defense technology sector, with a focus on non-lethal weaponry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paintball-Shooting Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paintcam-home-security-system.md) - [Novel Home Security Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-security-concept.md) - [Laser-Powered Mosquito Zappers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/photon-matrix.md) - [Biometric Smart Guns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biometric-smart-guns.md) - [Pocket-Sized Safety Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaze.md) - [Camera-Equipped Door Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plus-link-z-concept.md) - [Solo Citizen Protection Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-companion-robot.md) - [Portable Safety Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/armorsiren-portable-security-system.md) - [Smart Home Security Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-home-security-solution.md)
