The 'Evolution of Type' alphabetic series creatively features several [3D letters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/exoskyn) undergoing striking [anatomical surgery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/out-of-orifice). The letters are photographed being split open to reveal arteries, muscle tissue and bone. Scheiger's work creatively brings to life the inanimate nature of typefaces. The 'Evolution of Type' series shows that [fonts, letters and styles of writing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/font-guesser) are capable of decaying and rotting away just like the human body. Scheiger's work literally gives life to the alphabet in a beautifully alluring way. In today's day and age what keeps letters, dialects and languages alive is the constant use of them. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 6% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Anatomical Art:** Explore the emerging trend of creating artwork that combines anatomy and design, offering new possibilities for graphic designers and artists. - **Transformation of Typography:** Discover the trend of transforming typography into interactive and dynamic visuals, opening up innovative opportunities for communication and storytelling. - **Decaying Design Aesthetics:** Observe the trend of incorporating decaying and deteriorating elements into design aesthetics, challenging conventional notions of permanence and visual appeal. ### Who This Affects Most - **Graphic Design:** Graphic designers can take advantage of the trend for anatomical art, transforming typography, and decaying design aesthetics to create unique and impactful visual communications. - **Art and Illustration:** Artists and illustrators can explore the emerging trend of anatomical art, which combines anatomy and design, to create visually captivating and thought-provoking artworks. - **Marketing and Advertising:** Marketing and advertising professionals can utilize the transformation of typography trend to create interactive and dynamic visuals that enhance brand storytelling and engage audiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Typography-Inspired Lifestyle Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-industries.md) - [Innovative Typeface Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sharp-type.md) - [Toddler-Focused Typography Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/my-first-book-of-fancy-letters.md) - [Limited Art Apparel Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/autotype.md) - [Typographic-Inspired Intricate Textiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glyph-collection.md) - [Modular Typography Stamp Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-typography-stamp-set.md) - [Modular Typography Stamp Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blockface.md) - [Playful Font-Associated Personalities](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adobe-acrobat.md) - [Artful Wooden Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knowledge-of-all-dark-things.md)
