The furniture includes four models each with their own [geometrically-shaped form](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/squares-collection) that are accented by a series of cutouts in the topper section. These cutouts are also geometrically shaped and also vibrantly colored to help them stand out against the lightly colored wood body for the rest of the table. The Designated Table collection prioritizes a playful form, but is still inherently functional thanks to the aforementioned cutouts capable of being used for storage or drink placement. The furniture speaks to an increased demand for [juvenile aesthetics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tivoli-collection) as consumers seek out more carefree solutions for the home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 66% | Freshness: 23% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Juvenile Aesthetics Demand:** Consumers are seeking carefree solutions for the home, driving an increased demand for furniture with playful forms and vibrant colors. - **Geometric-influenced Designs:** Furniture pieces with geometrically-shaped forms and cutouts are becoming popular choices for home decor, merging aesthetics with functionality. - **Functional Furniture Cutouts:** Cutouts in furniture pieces are being creatively utilized for storage or drink placement, enhancing the practicality and versatility of home decor. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** In the furniture industry, there are opportunities to innovate by blending playful designs with functionality, catering to the evolving consumer preferences for unique home decor. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can capitalize on the trend of geometric-influenced designs and functional cutouts to create visually appealing yet practical living spaces that resonate with modern consumers. - **Home Decor Retail:** For home decor retailers, focusing on offering furniture with vibrant colors and juvenile aesthetics can tap into the market's growing interest in lighthearted and functional design elements for homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Geometric Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designated-side-table.md) - [Slender Geometric Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tong-side-table.md) - [Puzzling Geometric Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linked-side-table.md) - [Geometric Table Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solis-collection.md) - [Perplexingly Angular Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tadashi-side-table.md) - [Intersecting Two-Part Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shaolin-side-table.md) - [Colorful Contemporary Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/runda-tables.md) - [Playful Geometric Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-co.md) - [Impactful Industrial Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/to-steel-side-table.md)
