It is defined by its adorable motifs creating rounded forms and animal ears on the lids. The Design Seoul 2.0 project is part of a five-year plan that is led by the [Seoul Metropolitan Government](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seoul-my-soul) to elevate the city's overall urban design. It comes in two styles -- both of these have a cylindrical structure with a steel construction topped by a domed lid crafted from recycled or virgin plastic. Sukwoo Lee, SWNA founder explains the main focus of the project was to create a design that "satisfied both convenience and aesthetics. Both types have wide slots and the top is open in all directions, making it easy to throw away and collect trash. Unlike existing square trash cans, the round design gives a soft impression."
