The set of sculptural objects is made up of brass tube chimes that have been specifically cut in such a way to emit the sounds of selected musical notes. To encourage the pieces to come alive with music, [tactile elements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aedo-collection) have been added to the sculpture, such as colorful, hand-knotted hanging string tassels. With each touch that is made, the potential for a completely unique sound experience is created with the abstract design sculptures. As the designer describes, the [multi-sensory sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-sound-of-material) are designed to "convey a message of hospitality and joy." The Melodicware sculptures were initially launched at this year's Milano Design Week as part of the interactive Fenomena exhibition. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 13% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Interactive Design Sculptures:** Developing interactive sculptures that create auditory experiences through touch. - **Multi-sensory Artwork:** Creating artwork that appeals to multiple senses, enhancing the overall experience for the viewer. - **Customized Sound Sculptures:** Designing sculptures that emit specific musical notes, offering a personalized auditory experience. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Design:** Translating traditional sculptures into interactive and multi-sensory experiences, opening up new possibilities for artistic expression. - **Music and Entertainment:** Incorporating interactive sound sculptures into performances and entertainment events to enhance audience engagement and immersion. - **Hospitality and Experiential Design:** Integrating multi-sensory sculptures into hospitality spaces, creating unique and immersive experiences for guests. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tactile Interactive Music Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yamaha.md) - [Mindful Meditative Soundscape Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sonic-heirloom.md) - [Plant-Powered MIDI Sound Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/love-hultn-tegel.md) - [Water Movement Sculptural Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inner-waves.md) - [Musical-Themed Kinetic Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/daydreamer.md) - [Sculptural Sound Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acoustic-sculpture-speaker.md) - [Speaker Part-Garnered Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-craftmanship-a-new-world.md) - [Heritage Sound Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hornscape-playground.md) - [Colorful Dynamic Acoustic Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otonomori.md)
