Part of the 16-year regeneration plan for the city of Holon, Israel, the Design Museum Holon is close to completion. It is the first large-scale commercial project to be undertaken by the award-winning Ron Arad Architects, and features layers upon layers of [COR-TEN steel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doshi-retreat) wrapping around the two main [gallery buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crow-museum-of-asian-art).

The Design Museum Holon, with its winding, sinue-like ribbons of COR-TEN (weathered steel), is not only an extremely unique and sculptural approach to [museum design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-for-architecture). According to the municipality’s managing director, Ms. Hana Hertsman, it “highlights the role of design and culture in Holon’s day-to-day life, but also the city’s influence globally.”
