When I went to the site, I was skeptical of its ability to connect designers, but after a quick look around, I realized that the site might just be my new, and only, [social network](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bf-island) to be involved with. I was impressed by the ease of navigation on the Design 21 site. Everything is obvious, so using the [networking tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/netchemy) on the site is immediate and simple. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 58% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Design Social Networks:** Opportunity to create more social networks specialized for designer community - **Streamlined Navigation:** Opportunity to create more user-friendly platforms with easy and immediate navigation - **Virtual Collaboration:** Opportunity to create virtual collaboration platforms for designers ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Social Media:** Social media industry can create specialized designer networks - **Web Design:** Web design industry can create more user-friendly platforms with easy and immediate navigation - **Productivity Software:** Productivity software industry can create virtual collaboration platforms for designers ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Designer Portfolio Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/good-designers.md) - [Creative Networking Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designer-hikes.md) - [Design Showcase Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/todaysdesign.md) - [Professional Networking Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peerlist.md) - [Social Networking Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/internet-social-caf.md) - [Design Inspiration Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-directory.md) - [Design Inspiration Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-vault1.md) - [Social Commerce Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/21-buttons.md) - [Affordable Design Talent Finders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/design-scout.md)
