The structure is elongated and occupies a rocky site in Palm Springs, California. The project is realized as a family weekend retreat. It is located in a gated community, meaning that a night or two at the desert house will surely give occupants peace of mind and rest from their busy, connected lives. Woods + Dangaran used patinated brass panels to achieve a luxurious feel for the exterior, as well as [extra-clear glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-ridge) to bring breathtaking views to those inside the desert house. It was very important for the architectural firm to acknowledge the desert context and "keep the terrain in tact."
