[Desert Dada](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desert-x1) is the creative work of Carolyn Schmitz. Both her [shoe and chair paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wu-series) strictly contain elements that are found in the desert including plants, animals and even insects. Her paintings are available for $50 each, with a minimum purchase of two pieces. **Implications** - Schmitz says that she has been a nature lover since she was a child and all of her works reflect that. She says that she would rather "make art, and remain close to that source of all that we have, to the awesomeness of Nature, her beauty, mystery, and danger." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Desert-inspired Art:** Opportunity to create and showcase unique artwork inspired by desert elements. - **Nature-themed Paintings:** Demand for artwork that celebrates and captures the beauty and mystery of nature. - **Wildlife-inspired Art:** Potential for creating artwork that focuses on desert plants, animals, and insects. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art Retail:** Opportunity to sell desert-inspired artwork in the retail industry. - **Home Decor:** Demand for desert-themed artwork to be used in home decor and interior design. - **Online Art Marketplaces:** Opportunity to showcase and sell desert-inspired artwork on online art marketplaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sprouting Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wood-chair-on-grass.md) - [Demure Desert Landscape Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-collection-by-monica-armani.md) - [Waste-Incorporated Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knoll-chairs.md) - [Large-Scale Sculpture Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desert-x1.md) - [Wood-Inspired Patterned Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dino-chair.md) - [Sneaker-Inspired Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/markvonrama.md) - [Modern Design-Exploring Art Objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pratone-chair.md) - [Desert Dune-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nando-studio.md) - [Desert Sanctuary Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oasis.md)
