A series of surreal shots by photographer Gabriel Aguirre called 'Dépliage du Soi' documents mankind and our search for meaning. Using photography cloning techniques, the photos show people in various stages of unrest. Translated as 'Unfolding of the Self,' the name of the project suggests that the collection reveals the inner turmoil in contemporary humans.

Each subject is cloned countless times in the same setting as they endlessly search for what's missing. Aguirre captures his models in motion as they move about a beautiful space. As a result, the collection has a certain restless energy that permeates every photo. According to Aguirre, the collection explores our search for the meaning of life "everywhere possible, such as nature, superstition, even absence."
