# Homey Dental Offices You Can Really Put Your Feet Up in This Dental Office Design By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2014-10-02 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dental-office-space References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/dental-office-feels-like-home/) & [fieldworkdesign.net](http://www.fieldworkdesign.net/work/) The look of this dental office space in Portland, Oregon is soothing and far from the sterile environments that many people have come to feel uncomfortable in. The Horacek Dental office is set up like a stylish home, complete with designer chairs, lots of cozy wooden elements and other quirky decor pieces. In order to make the most of the space, especially since it has rather high ceilings, Fieldwork Design added recycled felt wool on the walls to help with acoustics. Other eco-friendly features of the space include the use of soy foam insulation, zero VOC paint, on-site gray water collection and skylights to bring in as much natural light into the dental office as possible. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 42% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) > [Eco Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/ecoarchitecture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Eco-friendly Dental Offices:** There is an opportunity to create dental offices that prioritize sustainability by incorporating eco-friendly features such as recycled materials, energy-efficient lighting, and water conservation systems. - **Comfortable Dental Environments:** Dental offices can be designed to resemble stylish homes, featuring comfortable furniture, cozy elements, and unique decor pieces, providing a soothing environment for patients. - **Acoustic Enhancements for Dental Spaces:** Incorporating sound-absorbing materials like recycled felt wool in dental office design can create a more peaceful and relaxing experience for patients while improving acoustics. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can explore innovative dental office designs that prioritize eco-friendly materials, comfortable and stylish furniture, and acoustic enhancements. - **Sustainable Construction:** The construction industry can embrace the trend of building eco-friendly dental offices by using sustainable materials, energy-efficient systems, and water-saving technologies. - **Dental Equipment and Supplies:** Manufacturers of dental equipment and supplies have an opportunity to create products that align with the trend of designing comfortable and eco-friendly dental offices, offering unique and sustainable solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Spa-Like Dental Clinics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-dental-clinic.md) - [Acrylic Glass Cubic Clinics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/t72-dental-clinic.md) - [Warm Medical Interior Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakv-clinic.md) - [Dental Office-Transformed Family Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ol6.md) - [Dental Longevity Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smile-house.md) - [Law-Firm Office Interior Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dentons.md) - [Mid-Century Tonal Cozy Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drama-republic.md) - [70s-Inspired Rustic Law Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/century-city-law.md) - [Comfort-Enhancing Office Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/relaxound.md)
