# Starkly Minimal Offices Dental Angels Give Charlie's a Run for Their Money By Vasiliki Marapas | Published 2014-07-25 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dental-angels References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2014/07/25/dental-angels-by-ylab-arquitectos/) & [ylab.es](http://www.www.ylab.es/) YLAB Arquitectos designed the interior and brand image of 'Dental Angels,' a dental office located in Barcelona, Spain. The office is characterized by fluid shapes, light colors and indirect lighting. The client wished to create a clinic that was modern, functional and reflective of the office's cheeky name. The designers aimed to create something that differed from the [sterile environment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/copenhagen-eye-institute) that is typical of most dental offices. Instead, they opted for an accessible elegance that is instantly refreshing. They distributed the functions of the office organically, hoping to create a dynamic and continuous space. The office's [white base color](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinzo-architekten) was complemented by gold and blue accents. Materials such as white satin lacquer and laminated panels were paired with gold aluminum and walnut for extra lightness and warmth. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Fluid Shapes and Light Colors:** Exploring the use of fluid shapes and light colors in office design presents opportunities for creating modern and refreshing workspaces. - **Accessible Elegance:** Creating an accessible elegance in dental offices disrupts the sterile environment and offers a more pleasant experience for patients. - **Organic Office Layout:** Designing an office space with an organic layout promotes a dynamic and continuous environment, encouraging collaboration and innovation. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** The use of fluid shapes, light colors, and an organic layout in office design offers opportunities for disruption and innovation in the interior design industry. - **Dental Services:** Creating dental offices with accessible elegance and a refreshing atmosphere disrupts the traditional sterile environment, providing a better experience for patients. - **Office Furniture and Fixtures:** Designing offices with fluid shapes and light colors opens up opportunities for innovation in office furniture and fixtures, creating modern and visually appealing workspaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Acrylic Glass Cubic Clinics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/t72-dental-clinic.md) - [Warm Medical Interior Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakv-clinic.md) - [Tranquil Clinic Interior Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palo-verde-aesthetic.md) - [Monochromatic Cosmetic Clinics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cosmetic-clinic.md) - [Incredibly Colorful Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorful-office.md) - [Minimally Designed Office Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/andrs-reisinger.md) - [Local-Inspired Charming Salons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gxbar.md) - [Residential-Reflective Tranquil Clinics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aloop-clinic.md) - [Gallery-Style Clinics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/copenhagen-eye-institute.md)
