Categorized as a mystery spot or gravity hill, which are particularly popular in the United States, it is similar to the common tourist attractions that feed off of people's cathartic feelings of being queasy, scared and disturbed. In this case, the Demon Hill #2 is a makeshift room paneled entirely in plywood. As soon as a visitor steps into the space, [gravity becomes warped](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-great-tree) and their perception of what is up or down becomes completely negligible. Barely able to squeeze into the [Harris Lieberman Gallery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snyders-pretzel-cabins) in New York City, the Demon Hill #2 has carefully chosen features including a protruding wall, [reflecting mirror](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hooptical) and wooden chair all designed to discombobulate the participant even more. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Mystery Spot Installations:** Art installations that play with visitors' perception of gravity and create a sense of mystery and confusion. - **Immersive Art Experiences:** Art installations that employ unconventional materials and create a fully immersive experience for visitors. - **Psychological Thrill Installations:** Art installations that use psychological tricks and illusions to create feelings of anxiety and unease in participants. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Entertainment:** The art and entertainment industry can create new forms of artwork that challenge traditional boundaries and deliver unique experiences. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** The tourism and hospitality industry can incorporate these installations as part of their unique attraction and experience offerings. - **Advertising and Marketing:** The advertising and marketing industry can utilize these installations to create unique and memorable campaigns that engage audiences and create buzz. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Optical Illusion Replica Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liberty-science-center.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Gas Rig Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/striking-art-installation.md) - [Psychedelic Sculptural Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frank-stella-recent-sculpture.md) - [Monumental Air Installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iwagumi-air-scape.md) - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Dynamic Moving-Illusion Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moving-furniture.md) - [Fluid Function Art Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optical-flow.md) - [Artful Meditative Sculptural Caves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawing-on-space.md)
