Air travel can be a lot of things, but an artistic experience isn't usually one of them — however, the new Delta tray tables might change that for travelers on select Delta flights. The airline recently partnered with [Coca-Cola](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3d-coca-cola-billboard) and advertising agency [Wieden+Kennedy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/budweiser-campaign) to commission art at 30,000 feet, with artists getting a unique canvas: the tray tables on the backs of seats.

Since tray tables typically offer up just blank space, they represent a simple place for airlines to add some visually interesting designs to their flights. The new Delta tray tables feature 12 images, each of which references a different city. The twelve artists behind these trays include some big names from the world of contemporary art and graphics, such as [Noma Bar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mushroom-garum), Stevie Gee, Paola Gracey, Alex Yanes, and Pedro Campiche.
