The cannabis beverage company Delta Beverages is introducing a new product category extension with its first Cannabis Spirit, which takes the form of a blood orange and vanilla-flavored formulation containing hemp-derived cannabinoids.

The Blood Orange Vanilla Cannabis Spirit boasts 10 milligrams of THC, two milligrams of CBD per serving, and "a curated terpene profile." Delta Beverages positions this product as an alternative to traditional alcoholic spirits. The spirit is noted for being calorie-free and avoiding the unpleasant after-effects that are commonly associated with alcohol consumption.

The launch of the Blood Orange Vanilla Cannabis Spirit represents a strategic diversification, taking Delta Beverages beyond its established portfolio of ready-to-drink seltzers. For individuals seeking to moderate or eliminate their alcohol intake but who still wish to participate in the social rituals of drinking — such as crafting a cocktail or sharing a toast — this product offers a functionally analogous experience.
