The color-infused activity center is located in London's East End. [Converted from an old storage building](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archipelago), this vivid structure features angular green and yellow [perforated cladding](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/darlington-public-school) that makes up its facade. This facade lets natural light into the center's interior while offering its inhabitants privacy. Fusing fun aesthetics with purposeful desingn, this [contemporary community space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iztapalapa-pilares-community-center) houses charity Providence Row's arts and activity center that aims to support London's low-income housing and homeless communities. From visual and performing arts to essentials like food, clothing and showers, the Dellow Day Center is changing individuals' lives one day at a time. The bright and expressive building is eye-catching both for its design and its importance to the underprivileged urban community. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Color-infused Architecture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating vibrant and visually stimulating colors in architectural design to create engaging spaces. - **Adaptive Reuse of Buildings:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Converting old storage buildings and repurposing them for community spaces, promoting sustainability and revitalization. - **Community-supported Initiatives:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Establishing activity centers and support facilities that cater to the needs of low-income housing and homeless communities, offering essential resources and services. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrating innovative approaches in architectural design to create visually appealing and functional structures that address social and environmental needs. - **Community and Non-profit:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing sustainable and inclusive community spaces that support marginalized groups and contribute to their well-being. - **Urban Revitalization:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Restoring and repurposing existing urban infrastructure to create vibrant and resourceful spaces that address social challenges and contribute to community development. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compact Civic Workspaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stroud-green-housing-centre.md) - [Everyday Material Colorful Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorful-pavilions.md) - [Senior Housing Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ellen-browning-building.md) - [Arched Concrete Community Centers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/centro-de-colaboracin-arquitectnica.md) - [Bold Performance Pavilion Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/what-goes-around-bandstand.md) - [Archival Performance Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/take-a-bow-centre.md) - [Children-Collaborative Design Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reflect-pavilion.md) - [Semi-Open Community Centers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-for-the-elderly.md) - [Rerfeshed Historic Workspaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloisters-interiors.md)
