# Luminous Block Walls The Deli at Gateway Interior by 10x10 Design Consultants By Meghan Young | Published 2010-02-23 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deli-at-gateway References: [plusmood](http://plusmood.com/2010/02/deli-at-gateway) When I look upon the Deli at Gateway [glowing wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nin-hao-restaurant), I can't help but imagine that there is a society of fairies living behind it, lending a magical glow to not only their happy home, but also to Gateway visitors. Of course, that is not the case, but it still puts a smile on my face. Designed by 10x10 Design Consultants, the Deli at [Gateway cafe](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gateway-collection) is in Kochi, India. According to the designers, visitors of the cafe are "overcome by the intense atmosphere of the [total illusion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loacker-galaxy)." I completely agree. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Glowing Walls:** Opportunity to incorporate luminous block walls in architectural design to create immersive and visually striking spaces. - **Total Illusion:** Potential to design spaces that captivate visitors with a sense of awe and create a unique and memorable experience. - **Magical Experiences:** Growing demand for enchanting and immersive environments that transport people to otherworldly realms, creating opportunities for businesses in various industries. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for architects to incorporate luminous block walls as a design element in creating visually captivating structures. - **Hospitality:** Potential for hotels, restaurants, and cafes to leverage the concept of total illusion to create unique and enchanting experiences for guests. - **Entertainment:** Opportunity for entertainment venues, theme parks, and immersive experiences to capitalize on the growing demand for magical and otherworldly experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Immersive Boba Tea Shops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yoozoo.md) - [Colorfully Interior Designed Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lackawanna-caf.md) - [Golden-Hour Café Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caf-goldie.md) - [Temple-Inspired Striking Galleries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abin-design-studio.md) - [Ethereal Ambiance Speakeasies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artifact-bar.md) - [Lightness-Themed Womenswear Boutiques](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/one-by-one-1.md) - [Custom Restaurant Mosaic Embellishments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mosaic-embellishment.md) - [Dynamic Layered Interior Cafés](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caf-tondo.md) - [Illusory Brick Wall Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/og-brick-lamp.md)
