# Undulating Blade Racks The Del Ben Essentium Knife Block is Sharp Enough to Warp Wood By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-11-04 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/del-ben-essentium-knife-block References: [7gadgets](http://www.7gadgets.com/2011/11/03/open-air-why-6-piece-resin-handle-forged-knife-set/44117) & [delben.eu](http://www.delben.eu/en/essentium_gallery.php) You've got to spend good money to end up with an adequate collection of kitchen blades, which is why this Del Ben Essentium Knife Block is particularly enticing. Normally you end up with a glorified wedge of timber for your slicers to slide into, but this stylish piece simply screams culinary luxury. Made in Maniago, Italy, of elegantly bent Wenge wood, the Del Ben Essentium Knife Block is sculpted and twice severed to form a light but self-supporting receptacle. Makers of knives see themselves as artists who cut and polish harwearing metals into smooth silvery shards with the perfect sharpness to carve any ingredient. Based on this it is nearly criminal to hide such graceful items away, and even more fitting to display them in such a divine holder.
