# Virtual Clubbing Experiences Defected WWWorldwide Introduces "New Era Virtual Clubbing" on Twitch By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2020-06-17 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/defected-wwworldwide References: [campaignlive](https://www.campaignlive.co.uk/article/three-days-world-clubbing-home-behind-defected-virtual-festival/1686680) & [defected](https://defected.com/news/post/defected-virtual-festival) After hosting a 12-hour live event, Defected is introducing Defected WWWorldwide events in partnership with [Twitch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alienware-x-twitch) and its Squad Stream function. This means that these [virtual events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/together-watch) have three virtual rooms with DJs playing concurrently in each, which helps to stimulate the [nightclub experience](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheese-rave) that many are missing. Like attending a club in person, the virtual experience is designed to give people the freedom to explore at their leisure. While the first event in the series will be kicking off in just a few days, Twitch users will also be able to tune into a special Pride celebration hosted by Glitterbox later in the month. The final event in the series takes place in July and it promises to transport attendees "back to Ibiza for an event that will replicate a regular Defected Ibiza night." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 75% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Virtual Clubbing:** Creating immersive virtual clubbing experiences through multiple concurrent DJ sets. - **Squad Stream Function:** Leveraging Twitch's Squad Stream function to host multi-room virtual events. - **Freedom to Explore:** Providing attendees with the freedom to explore and navigate the virtual clubbing experience at their own pace. ### Where This Applies - **Entertainment:** Opportunity to disrupt the entertainment industry by offering virtual clubbing experiences to a wider audience. - **Event Management:** Innovating event management by creating immersive virtual events that replicate the nightclub experience. - **Streaming Platforms:** Collaborating with streaming platforms like Twitch to host multi-room virtual events and reach a larger online audience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Immersive Digital Raves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antibody-club.md) - [Virtual Hangout Spots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/virtual-clubhouse.md) - [Hybrid Metaverse Festivals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/absolutland.md) - [NYE Party Metaverses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vnye.md) - [Sober Sauna Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sober-sauna.md) - [Interactive Metaverse Pop Concerts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-chainsmokers.md) - [Live-Streamed Music Venues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vita-motus.md) - [Re-Opening Historic Nightclubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/londons-printworks.md) - [Virtual Event Afterparties](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/post-show-celebration.md)
