# Decorative Landscape Furniture This Furniture Collection Features Picturesque Landscape Paintings By David Ingram | Published 2015-08-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/decorative-landscape References: [coolhunting](http://www.coolhunting.com/design/narki-furniture-classical-baroque-paintings) & [narkifurniture](http://narkifurniture.com/) Inspired by the idea of blending old with new, the 'NARKi' furniture collection includes decorative landscape paintings inspired by classical art forms. Drawing inspiration from artistic periods of the 17th and 18th century, this decorative furniture collection is made up of a personal dressing table, a coffee table and a sitting stool. The melding of modern furniture design with decorative landscape paintings makes sense given the background of the project's two collaborators -- Roman Kvita, who is from the [UMPRUM](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magnus-collection) product design program in Prague and Dominik Běhal, who studies at the [Academy of Fine Arts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nook-room-dividers). The furniture in the collection itself is made from solid ash wood, acting as the canvas for the paintings. Moreover, each piece also contains flourishes of brushed stainless steel for the legs. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 56% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Blend of Old and New:** The trend of blending old and new aesthetics creates opportunities for innovative furniture designs that incorporate traditional art forms. - **Art-inspired Furniture:** The trend of incorporating artistic elements into furniture leads to disruptive innovation in the home decor industry, creating unique and visually appealing pieces. - **Mixed Materials:** The trend of combining different materials, such as wood and stainless steel, offers opportunities for innovative furniture designs that provide a harmonious blend of durability and aesthetics. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** The furniture design industry can explore the trend of incorporating decorative landscape paintings to create visually striking and unique pieces. - **Art and Home Decor:** The art and home decor industry can tap into the trend of blending old and new aesthetics to offer customers innovative and artistic furniture options. - **Materials and Manufacturing:** The materials and manufacturing industry can leverage the trend of mixed materials in furniture design to develop new products that combine durability, aesthetics, and functionality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Demure Desert Landscape Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-collection-by-monica-armani.md) - [Charming Time Period-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-i.md) - [NFT Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monde-singulier-furniture.md) - [Playful Toy-Like Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frunchroom-furniture-collection.md) - [Naturalistic Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/back-to-nature-collection.md) - [Realistic Sketch-Reflective Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawing-series.md) - [Vibrant Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vibrant-furniture-collection.md) - [Japandi-Style Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lur-furniture-collection.md) - [Ultra-Elegant Timeless Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timeless-furniture2.md)
