The structure is absolutely striking, boasting a strong sculptural character through expressive concrete vaulting and a slick contemporary aesthetic. When curating the appearance and layout for the decorated mosque, Candalepas Associates took cues from the traditions of [Islamic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nakkas-boytu) architecture. The place for worship features two tranquil courtyards. The focal point of the design is the "central worship space with a [concrete honeycomb structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/muqarnas-pavilion)" as it has a strong ethereal quality to it. One of the distinguishing features of the decorated mosque is its juxtaposition of material, as well. A strong contrast is reached through the fusion of stoic concrete elements and warmer timber-lined motifs.
