# Resolution-Improving Screen Accessories Steam Deck's DeckHD Boosts the Screen Resolution to 1200p By Kanesa D | Published 2024-07-31 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deckhd References: [digitaltrends](https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/valve-adds-1200p-resolution-to-steam-deck/) & [deckhd](https://www.deckhd.com/) The Steam Deck is one of the top gaming handhelds on the market, providing consumers with robust gaming capabilities in a convenient format. The device's small form factor has contributed to its 800p resolution, but with a new release, this issue is set to be solved. The new DeckHD screen replacement boosts the Steam Deck's resolution to the standard 1920x1200, allowing gamers to experience high-definition graphics for a more immersive experience. The DeckHD offers substantial improvements for Steam Deck’s IPS panel. One of the most notable improvements is its color gamut coverage. The DeckHD boasts an impressive 87% sRGB color gamut, a substantial enhancement over the Steam Deck’s LCD, which covers approximately 70% of the sRGB spectrum. To make setup easy, Valve has updated its SteamOS software to recognize the DeckHD as a known display.
